Defence Secretary holds bilateral meetings

Bengaluru, Feb 11 (UNI) Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh on Wednesday held a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from various countries on the sidelines of Aero India 2025 here.

The deliberations focused on reviewing ongoing defence cooperation and identifying avenues to further strengthen bilateral ties. A key aspect of the discussions was enhancing defence industrial collaboration, with an emphasis on technology sharing and joint manufacturing initiatives.

Later, the Defence Secretary also held discussions with Director of the International Directorate of the Directorate General of Armament, France, Lt Gen Gael Diaz de Tuesta. The meeting centred on various joint projects and bolstering defence industrial cooperation between India and France.

Aero India 2025, Asia’s premier aerospace and defence exhibition, serves as a significant platform for fostering international partnerships in the defence sector.

During the discussions, the secretary met Mozambican Defence Secretary Casimiro Augusto Mueio, Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Sri Lanka Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Sampath Thuyacontha, Permanent Secretary of Defence of Suriname Jayantkumar Bidesie, State Secretary of Mongolia Brigadier General Gankhayug Degvadorj, Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Nepal Rameshwor Dangal, Permanent Secretary of Mauritius Devendre Gopaul, and Permanent Secretary of the Democratic Republic of Congo Major General Lukwikila Metikwiza Marcel.
